This artwork is part of my project Us Not Them, an artist book highlighting immigrant-owned businesses in Edinburgh. The wooden box unfolds to reveal hand-painted shopfronts, engraved words from the owners, and a central map stating “WE ARE HERE.” The piece combines illustration, storytelling, and craft to celebrate the presence and contributions of immigrant communities.
